Jeremy Sylvester is passionate about horses. His love of the animal started when he was at a young age, working in his family bakery where the horse and carts would travel around the local streets going about their business. After falling in love with them It wasn’t long until Jeremy got involved in horse training, initially on a part time basis whilst still helping out his family business.
Jeremy has had a lot of success over the years winning major races in NSW and QLD and he isn’t afraid to take a horse anywhere he needs to go for a win. He has a lot of tracks to race at within a 2 hour drive of Cessnock, however still enjoys the 9 hour trek to the Gold Coast where he has had plenty of success.

He prides himself on placing his horses where they can win and to be honest with owners, ensuring transparency specifically when a horse just isn’t up to the standard required to win in the region. As tough as it is to hear the words from their trainer owners appreciate Jeremey’s open and honest policy.

Jeremy has had great success picking up horses from higher profile stables and turning their careers around. Horses such as Three Sheets, Snappy One and Collar have enjoyed city success in the Sylvester barn after looking finished prior to entering his stable.

Jeremy’s biggest asset is his patience, he is very hands on and most importantly has the environment that allows a horse to perform, when they tell him they are ready. His facilities include a jogging machine which Jeremy uses with his horses on a 1700m undulating forrest track, that horses love to mix up their daily environment. Jeremy also has open stables with large day yards, a 70m swimming hole, sand rolls and a water walker which is used for both fitness and rehabilitation. Jeremy is also big on horse acupuncture which he has used on a regular basis with much success.
